Big concert venues in the Tokyo area?

Hey everyone. My father is from the Greater Tokyo area, and I'll be visiting Japan for the first time this summer.

One of the sights I'd like to see is the Tokyo Dome. And since the Tokyo Dome is the site of many big concerts, I started wondering about something.

Which outdoor stadiums in the Tokyo area are used for large-scale concerts?

I know there are such concert venues as Saitama Super Arena, Budokan, and (of course) the Tokyo Dome. But all of those are indoor.

Are Ajinamoto Stadium in Tokyo and Nissan Stadium in Yokohoma ever used for huge concerts?

Thanks in advance!

How big of concerts are you looking for? There are a lot of cool concert venues in Tokyo. Just in Shibuya alone, there must be 5+ decent sized venues including Shibuya AX, CC Lemon, O-East, O-West, etc.

In Harajuku, there is one of the most famous large concert venues, the Yoyogi National Olympic Stadium - many large JPop and JRock bands play this venue each year.

Here are a couple of listings of concert venues in Tokyo:
