AEON Corporation

Has anybody work for this corporation? Is it good?

There's nothing really wrong with AEON. They offer the usual pay and benefits, and are a big enough organization to offer opportunities to live and work in most parts of the country. They also hire from overseas, which makes the job application/hiring process easier.

If I remember right, they will require that you submit an essay about why you want to live and work in Japan. They'll use this essay as a means of judging your English ability. More than 3 or 4 mistakes in spelling, grammar, or punctuation in your essay will disqualify you, so write carefully.

thanks for your reply. I did some research about AEON and it looks really good. I like what they offer. I also have done research in other few corporations, and so far AEON is the one I like the most.

I've heard good things about Aeon as well. The main thing keeping me from applying, though, are the interview locations. I'm flat broke; I can't afford to travel out of the city (or state) for a job I may or may not get.

I never never heard anything bad about Aeon, and that's pretty telling in and of itself.

And as long as the essay is able to be typed and proofed before being sent in, that's a good thing. However, even I make mistakes sometimes in class, although I usually catch them. A lot less than the Japanese Teachers of English by far though.

Yesterday I had a student ask me what the English word was for government workers, and it took me about five or ten minutes to settle on how to spell bureaucrats.
