Justin, this incident is no different then Russia flying jets into Canadian territory and waiting to be chased back.

The difference is, China continues to push into into territory which is disputed, and they aren't just buzzing the border as Russia does.

Japan facing public flack has started taking direct action, think of it like when our Fisheries Minister impounded the Spanish fishing trawler years ago. Did we go to war with Spain ? Nope, but the point was made.

Japan is concerned about China's moves, you don't want someone pushing it's weight around like that.

But this is in no way something like what recently happened in Soviet Georgia.

It's saber rattling, more a show of politics then intent.

Because pure and simple if China wants it, China could take it and there's squat the Japanese SDF could do to stop them. Both sides know this.

I think I remember the Spanish fishing trawler... yeah, I didn't think we would have started a war with them.

Hehe, I'm just glad there's not going to be anything serious other than politics...
