Rofl, yeah I shlda known it was normal for Japan to defy the laws of gravity, jason-san

Woo... I'm liking the whole toilet technology thing ^_^ Were they invented in Japan as well?

And what exactly is a purification basin for? Baptism or something? O.o

Becki: Heh, you're welcome Becki-chan ;) Really? That's cool, I've been hanging paintings like these around the house too :p

Sounds good to me Cool-kun :D:D

i imagine it to create a calming and relaxing environment :)

CoolNard 04-09-2007 04:33 PM

Yeah, Japanese have a knack for that... Soothing with a nice gentle Japanese song going... Ahhh thats paradise :p or close to it! :D

AoshiShinomori 04-09-2007 04:41 PM

   WTH is that toiled technology??? Lid open? Large flush? Small flush? Anymore buttons and they'd have one for a blowjob :D :D

Water going to the ceiling?? Sounds like Ring 2! *Scary*

Calm environment eh? Maybe I should find a pic of a zen meditation room or even a sparring room in a dojo! *Rushes to search of pics*

No idea where they came up with the toilet technology. I think that one even has an FM radio because if you look at the sides of the controller it has little speakers.

The purification basin is at the entrance of almost every temple (Shinto and Buddhist from what I can tell) and you do this little ritual washing thing. There are ladels there for you to draw the water out, then you use it to wash your hands. Then the next part is to sip a little bit into your mouth (from your hands, not the ladel), swish and spit it out. Don't drink the water, some of these basins are like over a hundred years old. Not the water, but the basin may be dirty.

when it comes to toilet, you will be amazed by number of styles you can find here.

they have this idea of having a sound of flushing water, just like what jason posted, there is a panel of the wall , when you activate it , it makes this swishing and flushing sound, maybe to cover up whatever your doing in the toilet :D

some sample from one of the biggest toilet designer/maker in japan TOTO

Ahh, I see.. Thanks, jason! :D

Samo-chan, those pictures are really helpful, thanks too! ^_^

Ok, I've had enough of toilets already.... Is there anything else people should know about Japanese homes? O.o

Too bad, more toilets is what you get. Matches? That's a thing of the past with Toto's Z series. BBC NEWS | Business | Free repairs to flammable toilets
