Some basic things you might already know..

- You should know that prices are overall higher in Japan than in Germany.
- You should know that only Japanese youth may be able to understand some words in english, but mainly only Japanese.
- You should know that you may face the famous culture shock in your first weeks/months in Japan, but most people can get over this.

Besides that, if you are prepared to leave everything behind you love in your own country for a year, Im shure you will have a wonderfull experience in Japan !

no idea why CDs are that expensive...

but I've been livin in Japan (Tokyo) for a year as an exchange student, so in case you have any questions, fell free to ask (you never know, i might even be able to answer them )

do you already know where to study japanology?

(irgendwie seltsam, jemandem aus Deutschland auf Englisch zu schreiben )
