I want to know how long do I need to wait for a tourist visa to be released? My husband is half Japanese and he plans to bring me with him in Japan. I am from Philippines. I know the processing here in the Philippines will take a bit longer compared to Japan processing but I also want to know how long will it take for Japan to release my tourist visa? So that I can calculate how long overall will I have to wait. Also, I have an infant with me. Would it be possible for us to go there together with a tourist visa and then we plan to convert it to permanent visa. We try to get a tourist visa first because we believe it would be easier to process (you know the waiting period), so I'll get a tourist visa for myself and our baby and then convert it once we get there. Is that possible? And how much money do we intend to save, I mean for the processing of papers including the airfare.
