Question For People Who Live In Japan.....

Hi, my name is Casey, and I'm new here.

Anyway, I wonder about something. This may seem like a funny question, but do kids in Japan wear braces? I've read and looked at lots of pictures about Japan, and I've never seen anyone wearing them. Everyone in Japan CAN'T have straight teeth, because it isn't possible.......
SOMEONE'S got to have crooked teeth. I only ask because I just got braces today. Thanks!

Straight teeth isn't as big as a priority in Japan as it is in the US, but you are starting to see young women getting braces more often.

MaymeRachael is right, this should have been in the "Living in Japan" section, so if it disappears, a mod probably moved it there.

You can also tell a person's age by looking at their teeth. Japanese dentistry isn't exactly a fine art.
