I am looking for a Japanese penpal and hope that maybe someone will be interested in writing to little old me? I've tried some penpal sites but tbh, you get a lot of weirdos- SUCH AS, men from Ghana telling you they love you and then asking for money... in the same sentence! after seeing just your picture and the words 'UK'.

I have just started learning Japanese so I would love help with that and I really want to visit sometime soon and would love to learn more about the culture as i've been pretty much obsessed with the country for a good long while now. Plus, i just love writing letters! Making them look all pretty and such like, and it's more fun than emailing and hella more personal. I used to have a penpal when i was younger and it was great, looking to get that back again.

Come London and hang around UNIQLO. You're bound to run into Japanese students. =P

Although I do not speak Japanese nor can comprehend learning it (for the time being) I would say your main concern would be to prioritise yourself.

Do some little learning and a lot of working, save up the money! If you want to experience Japan then you best visit it.

Nothing can prepare you for a different culture, the only way is to live it!

Estimate dosh needed to have a fab time would be around 3 grand, =O
