I was one of the few people who didn't fight him o this site. If this is really you, send me a PM with some info we shared previously and prove it. Then I will leve you alone,if you wish. If you fail to prove you are the true joshaussie, then I will do my best to shut you down!

Maybe he gave his account to someone else... If he didn't want it anymore and they wouldn't close it, then I don't see why he wouldn't. I think you might be jumping to conclusions here. Enlighten me if you wish, but I don't see any reason or possible personal gain in stealing someone's account on here.

He specifically wrote to JF and asked his account be closed. I corresponded with him outside the forum as to why. I sent a PM to the current JoshAussie and it was not returned, which was out of the ordinary, since we corresponded and I was one of the few people who didn't slander him directly or when he left. My statement stands, it is out of the ordinary and the person who say's he is joshAusie should prove it by providing info he told me privatley and did not broadcast publicly. (1) If's it's not him, then should we let anyone pose as other users? (2) If it's him and he does not want to contact me anymore,I respect that and stated so in my initial post. I think it is a duty to stand-up for an ally when his account may be being abused.

To add another point: This is a community, albeit a virtual one. When I talk to MMM, I am reasonably sure it is the sae MMM that I've had serveral conversations with over the past several months.

If we allow people to pose as others, then the surity that we are conversing with the peson we intend to recieve our message, then there is no comminty. No trust. So, why have names and accounts at all? Why have to create an account and log-on? Why have avatars and the rest? Isn't that the entire point of this site, to communicate with a community of others who share a common interest? don't we ban those who misuse the site and take advantage of our trust?

I talked to Josh Aussie about quitting, and I had no doubt it wasn't the same person. Considering the intrinsic value of an account is about a penny, there would be no reason to "pass on" an account to someone else. Especially considering how ban-happy those mods are. ;)

So, as a mod, why let the person impersonate?

Sorry, that double-negative caught me. I wasn't clear. I chatted with him and it seemed like the same person to me, so I have no reason to ban him.

99% of bans happen in the first 5 posts.
