Hello all my potential friends! I'm a 24 year old guy looking for some English-speaking friends, Japanese or non, who live permanently in Japan and would be able to give some insight on the community they live in.
Preferably, I'd like to talk to someone who lives in the Tokyo area, who can commute regularly to the inner city if need be (I'm planning a trip to Japan sometime in the next year and would like to have a tour guide for the duration of my trip). Someone around my age would be nice, as we would enjoy the same type of experiences together.
A woman WOULD be nice!
But I'm really just looking for a friend, someone I can find out more about the Japanese culture, heritage, and society. Someone who would like to "hang out" if I ever do arrive in Japan, or for when the time comes, I could converse in Japanese with, learn Kanji, hirigana, etc., off of, and the like. I'll have a lot of free time over the next year (Iraq >>), and would love to keep in touch with someone over there!
