Hello,
My name is Max, and as stated I am 25 years old from Israel. I'm a 2nd year Accountings major and have worked as an IBM MainFrame System Programmer (DBA) for the past 6 years. I'm keen on coming to Tokyo next year to teach English, preferably in large-scale Hi-Tech oriented companies, and from what I've read online, that is in very high demand. But to be perfectly honest, I have no idea how to go about it... I have a lot of experience teaching English in Israel and I could also teach Hebrew as it is my native tongue, all thought my Japanese is very limited for the time being. I would love to make new friends in Tokyo that could maybe help me in finding such a position and later on getting settled in Tokyo I'm a very friendly person and am always on the lookout to make new friends, so I would really love to talk to anyone interested in it |

I'm sure there would be many people who would love to be your friend, but the problem is there isn't many Japanese residents on this forum, even fewer who are natives to Japan. The people on this forum are very friendly, but this forum seems aimed mostly at those who aren't Japanese but who seek to move to Japan, and hence doesn't seem to draw many people who are already there.
If - after all this time - no one has still replied, it may be best to try on another site. There are many sites out there that specifically aim at friendships, penpals etc. between Japan and Western countries. Either way, I wish you good luck |
