By the way, I have a few native Japanese friends (they are from Kumamoto), and through them, I felt that Japanese are really polite. Also, they are very friendly and comfortable to be around. ^^ that is my view of Japanese. As for Japan, I haven't been to Japan, but I will be going to Kumamoto this March. But, from movies and forums, Japan seems to be a great place for holidays and stay. ^^
