Yes that's right, my fiancee and I have created a hooded bikini (we are calling it the bikoodie) and we thought we'd share :D I know that some may find it revealing but we have our arguments as to why it's not and if you bring it up I will gladly explain :p

we also madestep-by-step instructions in case anyone wants to make it themselves

pumpum 03-30-2008 01:37 AM

Your fiancé looks pretty
and I like the thingie too.

ivi0nk3y 03-30-2008 12:12 PM

Hmm. May I ask, what's the point?
Then again it could take off, most pointless things do :p

Suki 03-30-2008 01:11 PM

W00000t she has muscular arms and shoulders! <333

That is quite an invention you've created there, but -and I think I'm speaking in the name of all women on this site when I say this- boobs would pop out of the straps of the bikini top and... that wouldn't be pretty if it happened in a crowded place -.-'

Hiroki 03-30-2008 01:21 PM

Great invention! I hope to see you're invention here in Japan too someday!
Not that I would buy it because 1)the boobs of my girlfriend are a bit big for it ^^' 2)I'm a boy 3) BUT I maybe gonna give it as a present to a schoolmate of mine.

xYinniex 03-30-2008 01:44 PM

uhm, its not a bikini, you're not covering the boobs properly, they're gona be like belts. Xd

I should have explained this in my original post but (speaking as the model) it is quite secure. The band at the bottom is good and tight, as are the straps covering the breasts, so all is safe don't worry

oh that's so nice to hear! Thankyou :D and Imade it especially to fit me but making it for someone else obviosly it would have to be different. I would love to do a custom order though I really would

xYinniex 03-30-2008 03:53 PM

one question:

if you were wearing it to swim and you had the hood down [which i would assume so, because its hard to swim with a hood] wouldn't the water drag it down?

EveV 03-30-2008 03:57 PM

That just looks uncomfortable like it'd be trying to push down your head. o.O

That's probably one of the worst fashion creations since crocs and those shirts that make chicks look pregnant.

I admit that it's a fashion bikini rather than a practical one. If it was to made specifically for swimming it would be in a different fabric so that it stretched to fit the bodies shape and the hood would most likely be detachable too

auran 03-30-2008 04:07 PM

im still confused

we aim for different and I'm actually glad that you don't like it

-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-

may I also clarify that I am the one wearing it and that it is both a bikini AND a hoodie

Well both my fiancee and myself really like it, as do a lot of people who have seen it on another forum. Can you create better?

Soo when you present this to whoever you plan on actually helping you sell your product in the masses. You're going to ask that if they don't like it? Fashion isn't about what the people think. it's about what the fashion " gurus" think. Which is pretty sad and I'm not saying I'm for it but that's how it is. So until you get one of THEM to notice it, it's nothing. It's not about if anyone else can create better it's if YOU can create better then anyone else.

I appreciate what you're saying but we don't plan on this being a mass product. Yes we would like to sell but independantly rather than taking it to someone who will do it for us. We are about individuality and standing out, not what everyone wants to wear, it's select.

Then some bigger company is going to see it and copy.

as far as my fiancee has sorted out, it's copyright so we should be covered

DorkSide 03-30-2008 05:53 PM

Okay.. i'm here to sort out all the unanswered questions and fill in where my fiancee left off.

1.) I don't care if major companies rip off my design, i'm not out there to make money, it'd be payment enough to see my design out on the streets.

2.) It is purely just a bikini with a hoodie, it provides plentiful support to the chest area, enough even to enable the wearer to dance vigourously. Which may i point out isnt always possible in a normal bikini.
The elasticated waist band provides the tension for the strap to lift the breasts up.

3.) If you think its too revealing, then why bother looking into a bikini thread, as it is no more revealing than the majority of store bought bikini's.
The difference is this shows skin in different areas as to normal bikini's giving ithe impression of being skimpy and revealing, but we assure you, it is far less so than others.

4.) No design will ever be to everyones taste, which is fine. Though this does not give you the right to be insulting! If you dislike our creation then withhold your comment, or post helpful criticism's.

5.) The design does not in any way "squish" the head down, as per normal bikini's the shoulders take the strain, the hood is merely sewn on to the top, in the same fashion as a normal hoodie. And for those who do not understand, does your hoody squish your head? no.. then neither will this.

I appreciate you taking your time to comment on our works, if you have any more questions please, feel free to ask away.

aren't bikini's for swimming in? or am i wrong here?

luyus 03-30-2008 11:41 PM

Depends on where your from. If your from america, they're normally just to show off the wearer's bodies, and suggest something else...well, I guess that part is only in a guy's mind.

they are often worn in hot weather to flaunt what you've got. I don't swim at all yet I would still wear this. It also looks awesome over a t-shirt or a tank top so it depends on how you wear it

MissMisa 03-31-2008 10:09 PM

I think it's great you have a unique style and creativity ^-^

I've actually not seen anything like it at all, and as purely a fashion item I reckon a lot of people could be interested in it.

I personally would not wear it I'm a little too shy for that, but if you are confident enough to then it would look cool on the beach or something like that ^-^
