Evangelion: Sachiel W.I.P.
Hey guys and girls.
I'm currently working on a series of really short live action movies based on Evangelion. You can see my first video HERE The next one will be with the 3rd angel: Sachiel. Here's a pic from the anime in case you don't know what sachiel looks like. ![]() So I thought I'd post updates on my progress as I went. Hopefully some of you will find it interesting or useful. Here's where I'm at right now: ![]() This is the base mesh that I will take into zbrush for detailing and texturing. It's still at a very early stage! I did change the design a little bit, especially in those goofy lookin shoulder things. If anyone has any suggestions for the overall project let me know! Feel free to ask any questions too. Peace :ywave: EDIT: more details ![]() EDIT2: Latest update! Walk cycle test! |

That guy has some serious dedication to his work. I'd rather stick to the 30 second clips lol. |

Probably destroy some buildings, blow some shit up. you know... just usual day to day activities for a giant monster. |
LOL
riiiiiiiight... |
Turning in for the night.
This is what I got so far: ![]() redesigned some parts. still have much work to do. I haven't even started the legs yet. peace |
Here is the latest update, don't know if anyone cares lol.
sorry about it being so dark! |
I'm really impressed, though the bone accuracy is a bit off. The shoulders should be a bit more down the the ribs kind of wrap.
But I think this style is fitting for realism. Where'd you learn 3D modeling, by the way? I need to get started in that area soon. And I bet this was much harder than Ramiel lol. Hundreds of vertices compared to like 6-24. Sahaqiel |
You should see him do more than a walk... his deformation is terrible lol.
I was really lazy when i rigged the guy... I honestly don't think I'll ever finish this one. :P And I started learning modeling by myself. off the internet. Check out the cgsociety forums. a lot of useful information there. I take a modeling course in college now though. But yeah, the internet is a good place to start. here are my two favorite sites: 3D Total - The cg artists home page Welcome to The Computer Graphics Society let me know if you have any questions. Always glad to help out a fellow artist. :ywave: |
