Romance Anyone?

Just to reminisce all the good times I've had in my relationships~

Like the time my girlfriend got extremely upset over something regarding her family.
I immediately drove over too her house (I think i skipped work that day xD) too try and comfort her.
Eventually I believed I took her for a ride for a few hours, met a few people and chatted until she cheered up a bit.
When we got back, we started hugging each other on the front porch...
It was at that time that I decided too pull out my cell phone and started too play Eyes On Me from FFVIII and did a little waltz with her too the music x]

I know, SUPER DORKY, but... meh, I thought it was kinda romantic (though she found it comedic) and a memorable moment~

Anyway, share your romantic experiences. Any special things you've done for your lover or your lover has done for you. Any moments that you would like too share. Please, keep it too couples only xD
Sorry too the singles out there, maybe someday...
Just someday.... you'll be as awesome a dork as I am ^_^

Ah. Regardless of what I think of relationships, and the view people think of me, I have done some romantic things in my relationships too.

Last year, on mine and my girlfriend's anniversary of getting together (A small thing, but important), I told my girlfriend that I was busy (She didn't even remember it was our anniversary), and that I couldn't see her that day.

Anyways, I brought some of my friends together, and gave them money and told them to buy a different bunch of flowers each. I told two of my friends to focus on Daffodils and red roses. (Since my fav are Daffodils, and my ex's fav was Red roses) They gathered all the flowers up and went to the place where I first met, and asked my GF out for a drink, which soon after became a relationship. Which was at a bench, in a nearby park.

After they were in place, I went a picked up my GF who was confused at seeing me, and I took her to the bench, which my friends had all waited until I was near and then left all the flowers for us. I told her what the day was, and then I showed her all the flowers.

That's basically it though.

Let's say she didn't expect it from me, apparently she was thinking of breaking up with me, because she thought I didn't have it in me to be romantic.

if i did something like that w/ my girl....
she'd find it really corny and funny, would laugh about it
but she'd definitely appreciate the thought xD

Its amazing how being a dork at the right moment really works on us. :o

As I was reading Yuujiro's I was thinking "wow, I never thought he would be that cheezy!" UNTIL..... you mentioned waltzing with her. That works!

Most guys have the capability of being romantic, but getting past the testosterone and triggering the impulse for it can be nearly impossible at times.

Salvanas, you aren't the only one people have doubted their potential for romance. Depending on where we've met, I have discovered a few people were totally shocked when they encountered that side of me.

i had a bf once who was good at halo & always said that halo was awesome & that counterstrike was for fags.

& i play counterstrike, so i always defended myself & said halo was for sissies.

so for our anniversary he brought us to play a game of paintball to see who's the better player &, ultimately, who plays the better game.

i shot him in the balls, point blank, just to drive my argument home. :3

SO, with that said, who wants to be my next bf?? ^_^/

One Valentines day. Even though I was reeeallly bad at making chocolate, I made my Gf a chocolate treasure chest filled with little gifts. And she laughed at the little chest but ate it anyway. it turned out okay.

EveV 11-09-2008 03:32 AM

For my birthday my boyfriend made two sweet long " I love you" videos talking about how much he loves and a bunch of other random shit lol.
And instead of just giving me flowers.
He spent hours making this for me.

Best birthday present, ever.

tsukimoon 11-22-2008 07:25 PM

One time on a trip with my robotics team to Championships in Atlanta, my boyfriend (ex now) knocked on my hotel room door, and I opened it to find him standing there holding a stuffed giraffe--the kind with the velcro hands and feet. I was like "awwwwwwwwwww *points*" and he velcroed its hands around my neck in a hug ^.^

Romance

Being romantic at the beggining of a relationship is the kiss of death. Wait until you are sure that you both know you are in it together. Then keep being romantic always. And little things mean the most.
I see that there are many romantic guys here. Keep it up and keep your ladies happy.

Agreed. Being romantic at the get-go will pretty much end it within half a year.

Still, lil' romantic things don't hurt. My last girl and I would send lil' "<3" to each other every now and again via text message. Always good to see one of those whenever you're having a bad morning.

Bureda 11-25-2008 12:33 AM

Music! is true romance, no need to know how to play an instrument. Just need to know what songs hit the points!

There's music for exercising, increasing potential by up to 30% (Recent Tests in London).

Think what it can do to your love, 30% PWWAH! Could be the meaning between diving in the right hole or beating on your lonely fish.

Picture that in the nicest way possible.

I think I would amend that slightly. You can be romantic fro mthe outset, but keep it simple and understated. Nothing over the top. It becomes expected and loses its charm if its constant, but a small gesture every so often is usually well received.

Not too long a ago I was stunned by an "acquaintance" who came to the table while I was with friends, took my hand, delivered a compliment, and then returned to his table. Trust me, that simple little act, kept him foremost in my thoughts for ...... hmmmm...... lets see its been 10 days now.

i was hoping more along the lines of johnny the homicidal maniac.

since teachers are too kind-hearted.

cridgit001 11-26-2008 06:10 AM

Ah, well this teacher, pretty evil. She needed space in her class for a new kid and she sent one to the "underground" classrooms(when it opened, it was pretty much looking into hell). She also cant be out in the sun very long. You would prolly get a kick out of it.
