Good Goodly Moogly, Dat Thang Is Juicy!

Reading this was mildly amusing. Yes, there is still an eyebrow raised and a smirk on my face.

So far it seems that everyone has left off one quality that is an absolute necessity, especially in light of the postings so far. Whomever you venture into a relationship with is going to need a lot of PATIENCE and considerable mercy to endure you. And its true for myself as well, so you can disarm.

As for my top 10 in a lover (gender is rather superfulous):

1 - Rational thought
2 - Imagination/Creativity
3 - Sense of humor
4 - Patience/Compassion
5 - A (restrained) sense of adventure
6 - Sense of self worth (without be arrogant!)
7 - Sense of responsibility for their own actions
8 - Trust
9 - An enjoyment of life
10 - Good hands (no I won't go into details here)

Yes, the physical aspects come at the bottom of the list - and the list definitely continues.

Someone said women judge a book by its cover and I will not disagree. But its not the sole basis for our judgement. Just like a book, if the cover is pristine, never been opened and the title doesn't catch my attention, I assume its been ignored because it has nothing to offer or is boring in its approach. Same for people. If the face has no character and the physique looks as though its never met a challenge, I figure there is reason. And until I see something more being offered, I am not interested.

For me, I would say the first thing would be looks. Honestly, you don't want to be with someone you don't find attractive. You're lying to yourself and to that person.

Nickel's List

1. Nice Looking: Not just attractive but knows how to take care of himself.
2. Respectful: I want someone who knows who to treat a woman right.
3. Caring: He has to be affectionate. None of this 'i am an island' crap.
4. Fun: Naturally, I enjoy laughing and having fun! My boyfriend should be the same.
5. Smart: He doesn't have to be Bill Gates but having a good head on their shoulders is key!
6. Good With Kids: This is #6 because this is one trait I'll be looking for in a good husband. Hey, you never know!
7. Creative: Again, I'm a creative person so it would be a good relationship with my better half was creative. In what way, it wouldn't matter.
8. Serious: Yes, I want him to have a sense of humor but I also want him to know when to buckle down
9. Likes to Read: I love reading and I would like someone who at least shared one hobby of mine.
10. Human: No aliens! :mtongue:

You do make a good point. Plus,I do have a thing for J'onn J'hozz of DC Comics fame.

With horror, it depends. Cheap 10 cents books from the gas station? No thank you! Stephen King? HECKZ YEAH!

Acutally, if I could have, I would have married Stephen King.

To be honest, it depends on what you're expecting from this GF.

If you're expecting to marry, then fair enough. If not, I can live with minor things that would cause problems in marriages.
