you may call me shallow, but then i am not saying that you should ONLY judge on looks, but if your girl is not HOT...then why be with her...HOT chicks can be just as funny, smart, friendly ect. as the ugly ones...so why not go for a looker?
2. LAUGHTER
shes gotta be able to make you laugh, have a sense of humour and see the funny side if you play a (small) practical joke on her.
3. Inteligence
personally i cant stand stupid or ignorant people....so shes gotta be clever
4. TRUST
thats essencial and leads me nicely onto point 4.5 which is

shes gotta be honest...not just to you, but also in character
