A) You're a spammer
B) Is there a ring on your finger? Did he propose to you? If you answered no, you're not engaged. Thinking about marriage is different from an actual engagement. Plenty of people intend to marry, but don't have the means to do so at the time. I'm in one of those situations - marriage to my girlfriend is inevitable but I wouldn't dare marry her until she's almost done with college and I still have a steady job. Oh! You just answered yourself. You are not engagaed. You'll get married without the engagement. See it's cheaper for him to skip the engagement. And besides it's a commitment issue that he has, tiz why he doesn't propose. You really shouldn't worry about it. Because you'll end up fighting over something stupid as a mid-way of nothing other than status. Skipping this process is so now. Relax and enjoy the freedom of being an unowned individual. Cuz once you slap on that last name..... You'll be Mrs. And what's fun in being called that? Then you'll have to go thru the process of changing your last name, on your passport (if you have one) on your driver's liscence/ID (if you have one) on your bank account..... How come a guy can't change his last name to suit a girl's need... |

This is a question you should be asking HIM, not people who don`t even know you or your boyfriend.
If he says that you`re not engaged, then I`d say it`s a pretty good indication that you aren`t. If you were, he`d have no reason to deny it - especially to you. If he were denying it to family and saying that he was engaged to you in private that would be one thing, but that doesn`t seem to be what is happening in your case. My husband and I decided that we were going to get married - announced it to his family, I made the trip to announce it to my family... And then we filed the papers. I don`t believe there was any real "engagement" as there was never a "proposal" - we discussed it together, and decided together. |
