"Drink" is a word for whenever we are. Be it in a bar, or a cafe. It's not the fact that I want to get her drunk, but it's more of a basis to start a conversation.

The first several posts are meant to be a joke, right? Right? >_<
I doubt I would say any of those lines listed by onlybyron, Hya and the bunch to a girl unless under threat of imminent death.
Why not say something that can actually get the conversation started and, preferably, demonstrate your qualities instead of basically rolling your tongue out and lisping "I am desperate". XD

I usually prefer to skip the whole "hi, what's your name and can I get you a drink" part and start off with some strange question or a vague/indirect/sometimes comical compliment that is almost guaranteed to break the ice and reward me with a sincere smile.
