The Big Earthquake in Japan

Thank you to everyone around the world for your comments, messages, and concerns. We are really touched by the outpouring of support for Japan from people everywhere!

Just to let you know, the JapanForum.com crew are all safe as far as we know at this time. Like you, our main concerns are with the victims of the tsunami and with anyone else who is still missing or injured from this disaster.

If you would like to discuss the earthquake with people here on the forum, there is a big earthquake discussion going on here

If you are in Japan and you need assistance or if you are trying to locate someone in Japan, please check out Google's Japanese earthquake resources here.

Again, we appreciate how kind everyone has been and please keep your prayers and well-wishes strong for the people who are still in need of help.

Reactor Number 2 now breached.

An explosion just happened at Number 2 in Fukoshima. Apparently the seawater didn't hold out as long as I prayed and now the inner containment vessel has been damaged.

Can it possibly get any worse than this?

Basically yes, it could get worse. The partial nuclear meltdown could become total and...well...I don't even want to think about it...

I just hope that worldwide prayers will stop this disaster and protect the Japanese citizens, probably the most dignified people on Earth

Hey new to the forums here. Mainly wanted to voice my support for Japan during this difficult time. I am American/English but wanted to show I do care what is happening unlike our government. Some people might disagree with me but I think Obama playing golf when we should be helping our Japanese friends just really annoys me. I have donated and tried to find a way to volunteer and help but unfortunately they don't take just anyone as we would only get in the way. I do have an american friend (he goes out with a Japanese girl there) who lives there and he too is doing all he can to help out as much as possible. One thing I admire so much about the Japanese is their honor, pride and sense of community. I wish Japan a swift recovery and my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone there affected. This is one American (as I'm sure many others too) standing by your side.

we are offering any kind of assistance

me and my family are ready to offer any kind of help, we are even happy to adopt/sponsor a child whose life was devastated by this tragedy, please let me know if there is a website that could use our sincere willing to help out

igorok84 03-26-2011 11:13 PM

In the first I bring all the condolences in happening. Actually it is a not tragedy of Japan, it is a tragedy of the whole world. And there must be in this pain everybody. I live in Ukraine, in glorious town Zaporozhye. Our family with gladness will accept a victim and remaining without a house Japanese family on the protracted and free residence. Possibly in Your country there are families which want to drive away children a little rather and not to expose to the dangers. My skype -- igorok84, my e-mail -- [email protected]

Ohh boy.. another wactivist.

Aside from whether or not you even have accurate statistics, which I doubt, these are human lives we are talking about. Dolphins, whales etc, are not equal with humans period, and if you think a human life is worth as much as a dolphins then I suggest you do the human race a favor and go throw yourself in the ocean. I know in your twisted mind you somehow feel a sense of self-rightousness for making such a comparison, but reality is that you are a completely despicable human being for saying such a thing... and in your case I think i would pick a dolphin's life over yours.

Video to help Japan

Hi everyone. First of all, my most sincere condolences to all those people affected by the disaster. I cannot describe the way those images make me feel.

In an attempt to do something to help out the people on the ground, I made this video a few days ago. I would be extremely grateful if you could pass it around to as many people as possible, because it's really for a good cause.

I want to make clear that I am not trying to self promote myself, my channel, or anything. I don't even have a YouTube channel, really, I am not doing this to get subscribers or anything like that. Mine is a sincere effort, and please if you need any clarification, further explanation, or anything at all regarding the video do not hesitate to ask.

Here is the video: YouTube - HELP JAPAN!! JPRI Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund

Thank you so much for your time, please share this, every little thing help :)

Sincerely,

Cate

Tokyo - safe or not?

In view of this:

YouTube - Busby: 400,000 to develop cancer in 200 km radius of Fukushima

Would we be safe longer term in Tokyo?

No, you will never be safe in Tokyo or anyplace on earth now for that matter. I think it is best you look into moving to Mars... it is surely your only hope.

Anybody who listens to that fucking tool in a beret should be living on Mars. I think the bullshit-o-meter has just earned itself another level with this guy.
