The Flood Zone

The Flood Zone, was a sub-forum at the forums I used to be at (I believe the title was based off of the Flood, from Halo). This was a forum where none of the posts counted towards post counts, and basically was a place where we could talk about anything off topic. Regular forum rules did apply such as, no porn or flaming and that kind of thing. This was a pretty relaxing part of the forum, and it was my favorite.

I brought this up because I just saw Ozkai's post with the Story Game (love that game haha) and noticed that game threads were against the rules. Well, it made me want to post about our old Flood Zone, because most of the threads in that sub-forum were game threads. Anyways, the mods may be completely against this, I'm really not sure. I thought it'd be a neat little idea to consider.

Not to step on your toes, but this idea of yours has been brought quite a few times over the years by numerous members, they have all proposed the Admin create a sub-forum like the one you described, where anything goes, and post count doesn't matter.

Now the idea is all good well and fine, but the Head Admin is quite absent from the Forums, and the likeliness of the creation of the section you are seeking is slim to none.

You could try to e-mail your suggestion, that way if you won't get any reply you'll be sure that he doesn't agree with your idea.

The Chat Thread is kinda similar, posts get removed regularly so post count doesn't really count.
