While it may be easy for a new member to spurt of 10 or 15 one line posts, the posts would have to be valid. While that wouldn`t be too hard, do you think the spammers want to spend their time that way? I doubt it. They`d probably hop to the next board immediately.

Also, I doubt they`d read the posting guidelines, so they most likely wouldn`t even realize that system was in place. They`d try to spam, but because their first posts are moderated, a regular user would never see them and they`d be quickly banned.

Put that way, it sounds like a pretty good idea, actually. :-)

It'd be interesting to hear what the mods have to say about it.
