I posted my first new Harajuku fashion pictures of 2009 today. I actually have about 100 new Japanese pictures ready to post, but they all need to be color corrected and cropped, so I can't do all of them at once. Today I posted only 15 pictures.

As usual, if you know who they are cosplaying, please let me know on the comments of the pictures - that way other viewers can know as well. The pictures are all in the Harajuku Fashion gallery here on JF. Here are a few samples:

Were these pictures from last Sunday? I was there with some friends who were visiting from Osaka. We didn't arrive until later in the day, but the place was still busy. I managed to get some "free hugs" at Hachiko and Harajuku...

No, these pictures are from months ago. I have a big backlog of Harajuku photos that I need to process and post.

Were there a lot of cosplay kids last Sunday?

Unfortunately, the Shibuya police have recently stopped bands from playing in Yoyogi on the weekend, so maybe it is a little more boring now than it used to be.

Yes, there were a lot of cosplayers on Sunday, even though it was rather late. Many of the cosplayers were foreigners from America or Europe. There were no bands playing at Yoyogi, but three different groups of rockabillies were there. Their music was no less loud than the bands, they seemed to be turning up the volume to drown each other out.

I'll ride my bicycle out there in a couple of weeks and get some video.
