that's very true, seeing as shonen jump has been around many years longer than shojo beat, but it just confused me when it all came up and out in the open about the "retirement" because it seemed like the magazine was doing so well and such, and that it was getting references everywhere and so much hype...but, i guess it just goes to show that the economy is getting the best of just about everyone...

THAT is exactly why i was so shocked, seeing as the magazines were like brother and sister to one another, and people involved within the two magazines always seemed to switch from one to the other to contribute different articles and information, when i first heard, i thought it was a joke, but oh well...

one thing's for sure, it WILL be missed.

my favorites are:

absolute boyfriend

sand chronicles

and honey hunt!

i was sad when they said they were moving on to shonen jump...the magazine is ok i mean it has naruto in it and stuff but shojo beat was the s***!! XP
