The first anime I ever watched was Mew Mew Power and then I fell in love with Tokyo Mew Mew and so after watching the anime I found more anime and also wanted to read manga. The first manga I read though was Naruto, which is now in my top 3. My other 2 in the top 3 are Pokemon and ONe Piece.

It was Ranma ½, because it was one the first manga, who was adresses to both boys and girls in Denmark.. Otherwise you could only read Dragon Ball, and when I was younger that was not something I liked.. ^-^

The first anime I really followed was Ghost In The Shell. Became a huge fan and tried to keep up with as many episodes as were available to me. I've only seen the first movie.

Afterwards I followed Cowboy Bepbop, Samurai Champloo and FLCL. All of them were broadcast on [adult swim] in the states.

I watched a little Inuyasha and Full Metal Alchemist but never really got into them or the other anime shows on Cartoon Network.

I LITERALLY JUST got into anime about two weeks ago when I saw the Miyazaki films. They were really good. Spirited Away is my favorite thus far. I just saw the first few episodes of Inuyasha and I think I like it. ^_^

neveragain: Welcome to the world of anime. Miyazaki makes great movies and Inuyasha is good also. But the real fun is when you start to watch the stuff that isn't main stream. There is a whole world of anime out there about anything you can think of. Enjoy.

Everything for me started with a lil program dedicated to anime that aired on the Discovery Channel. After that, bought Ghost in the Shell, and etc, etc...

For manga, my first was The Wallflower.
