I'll also avoid hentai.
Unless people have been watching it been saying things about it other than the hawt nudity, like the plot line is famazing, and it makes you wanna watch another episode/on the edge of your seat the whole time and stuff like that.
I just don't like it when it's just nude chicks dancing around and... Well... Being nude. That's just stuff for guys to jack off to. ^^;

I avoid shonen ai/yaoi. I don't understand the fascination with it that some have.

I avoid any kind of overly-violent, aggresive, offensive or rude genre of manga and anime like the plague each time, not to mention horror, all of which I can't handle nor tolerate whatsoever as I'm such a sensitive and easily hurt and offended kinda girl with an extremely nervous disposition towards what I see or hear...It's sad but true I'm afraid

I avoid fighting, fanstasy, and shounen. I don't know why, but I'm just not into them.

Gah.. mecha does my nut in. So thats that かわいい　ファーストキース(spelling?) girlie type anime. Gimme thriller type Death Note or action packed Dragonball Z any day!!

Hmmm, those crazy "artistic" ones that are really random and skip back and forth like there's no tomorrow. I.E., Boukyaku no Senritsu (The Melody of Oblivion). Oh my GOD, melody of oblivion? PERFECT TITLE. Tells you everything you need to know right from the start.
