It doesn't really matter to me.
Either is fine. Although with subbed I tend to be reading that instead of watching the movie. I don't really like dubbed because of the wierd voices they use. Help my Cause for homeless teens!

SUBBED. Always subbed - dubbed just sounds retarded.

I like subbed to see what I can pick up with the japanese. There are a few series where I do like the english voice acting though (notable among them is Cowboy Bebop). In general, I prefer the japanese VA though. I think a lot of times any material in its native language will have the voice that fits that character best, but that might just be me.

I'm not sure if I posted this previously.
I wanted to prefer the native VA for DBZ... but I couldn't get over it. I suppose I'm too brainwashed from having it introduced to me in english -- or it's just my taste -- or it's both. Whatever the case, dubbed DB-Z/GT for me. |

SUBBED! I lose interest in anime when it is dubbed.. I still cannot watch "Chobits" because I only have dubbed version and the voices sound so fake and horrible! (same was with "Ranma 1/2" when I had to watch two episodes as dubbed - that Akane´s dubbed-voice gives me nightmares every time I remember it! O.o)

Dubbed will 90% have a censor.
One Piece: parts are removed (and Hawk-Eyes sword which looks like a cross had its crossguards shortened) Pokemon: Remove rice balls and replace them with sandwiches, biscuits and donuts. Brock *as he eats a riceball*: Nothing beats a jelly-filled donut! |

well for example death note was dubbed well. i liked it a lot. L, Light and lights father had awesome voice overs.
well most anime ive seen was in dubb but all the ongoing shows i watch subbed and i like them as well. i just think that even if voice acting isnt perfect, some jokes are still made to be spoken regardless of the original language and not written in the subs were some of them are lost for those who do not speak the language and have to read them. |
