I believe Barefoot Gen (1983) is more powerful than Grave of the Fireflies (1988). I first watched Barefoot Gen and then Grave of the Fireflies and thought Barefoot Gen was much more effective. Sure Grave of the Fireflies is more popular and better animated since it's newer, but people really need to check out the classic Barefoot Gen if they liked Grave of the Fireflies. I believe Barefoot Gen tells a better and more effective story of the devastation of the bombings on Japan. Barefoot Gen is truly a gem that needs to be appreciated by more people.

I was close to tears when I watched Haku's and Zabuzas death, but I silently cryed during the episode of naruto where its the thirds funeral.......as soon as the episode finished I went to my room to cry for a little bit, I spent ages in there either in silence or patting my cat.....Naruto is the only series that had made me cry.....
Starting afresh once again. |

Episode 24 of Fullmetal Alchemist squished my heart into a million little bits. It was the scene about those Ishbal kids mother.... Yeah, it was sad. As soon as the kid started sobbing, I completely lost it.
Episode 25 of Death Note made me sniffle alot, but not quite cry. Same with 35 and 30. |
