i dont think its a very well known anime, its really short and adapted from popular, but i like Ef. a tale of memories and the sequel Ef. a tale of melodies. I think they're definitely worth giving a try, once you get past the first few episodes, you really get glued to the storyline.

Indeed!

Spoiler (In white text): Jesus, i cried when the girl who lost her memories ripped the pages of her diary where it was her past memories with the person she loved, damn that was very deep (and when they met again, and she remenbered him) (End of text)

Also to add, Clannad (season 2: After Story) is very deep from episode 16-22, its totaly emotional. One of the saddest ive seen in a while.

Too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like.

The only series in which I shed tears for was "Air TV". That was the one, and only time I even felt emotions for an anime character. The atmosphere of the series from the very beginning was oddly disturbing, and dreadfully damp with sorrow in some indirect cases.

FMA was a sad one for me. I completely bawled when Envy killed Hughes. And then there was the whole scene at his funeral when his daughter was confused about why they were putting him in the ground. Oh, it hurt my heart.

Other parts that made me cry was when Nina died, the last episode, and the movie.

Other animes that made me cry:
Chrono Crusade (Last episode)
Trigun (the episode where Woolfwood died)
Blood+ (the episode when Diva killed Riku)
Fist of the North Star (the movie)

I can't think of any other anime that made me cry. I think that's it.
