Off the top of my head: Demonbane The story is good, it's funny and serious at the same time, the art is awesome, and the characters are memorable. I love Al Azif's character design. Currently collecting Fullmetal Alchemist (in tankobon, not the translated version).
But, my general all-time fave is still the original Gunnm (Battle Angel Alita). The artwork is stunning. Yes, the Alita series had amazing detail on every page. The landscapes and backgrounds were, too put it lightly, stunning. In fact, the artist, Yukito Kishiro, became sick due to the ridiculous amount of attention and effort he put into the details. What dedication o_o
