To add to that list I recommend:

The Place Promised In Our Early Days
This Ugly Yet Beautiful World
Silent Mobius
Wrath of the Ninja
Blue Seed
Tokyo Babylon
I''s Pure
Know any IRC's or site that host "the place promised in our early days"? and wrath of the ninja...

Hey Everyone.
New to the site and very first post :P lol. Still learning the ropes and all that ^^
Erm not sure if they have already been mentioned or not... but one that doesn't come up that often 'Serial Experiments Lain'. A very very weird and short series.... but my god does it get you thinking :P.
Also.. not sure if Neon Genesis Evangelion was mentioned or not ^^... but i really liked that. Especially its psychological ending. Weird again but gets you thinking.

I am about start watching Samurai Champloo as i have heard good things, and noticed it has a good following on here aswell
I was just going to ask... and if people wouldn't mind giving their opinions .... whether to watch it subbed or if a good job has been made of the dubs on it? ^^

Appreciated

GTO was an awesome anime, and the theme songs for the show were awesome. Another awesome anime series was mysterious play, and can't quite remember the full title, but it was about two girls that get sucked into a book and land in ancient china, one girl ends up with good guys and another one ends up with the bad guys. The character development was unbelievable.

So of all these lists which is ur fav?

The pic added goes to the ones whose ideas are in a box, to the ones who don't give respect to the one who doesn't fit in that box, stereotying one as I am. You'll soon learn your mistake in not getting the chance, because of Your Error to get to know as others have gotten to know, love, respect, and appreciate me for who I am and not for what you aim to make me.

Thumbs up Japanese hero in new English book - 04-18-2007, 05:18 PM

Hi, I don't usually read English books but I came across "The Mystery of Yamashita's Map" by James Mckenzie. It is due to be published soon but I was able to get an advance copy from amazon. It is fantastic!

The hero is Japanese and and the story left me with a good warm feeling, I felt proud. It makes a change from Japanese always being seen as the bad guys. The author has TEFL and used to teach English in HongKong so he understands our ways and culture. The book is very well written. Believe it or not, it has helped my English grammar. It must be popular in the UK as it reached No. 3 in amazon hot pre-release chart. Incidently, the author comes from Aberdeen Scotland, home of Thomas Glover.
Five stars. I really liked it.
