Now back to the actual central theme of this post...
It doesn't occur that often in the series, but one of the more striking aspects of the animation is how certain scenes are "full motion". Full motion in the sense that the animations of the characters have more "inbetween" frames, which makes the resulting movements more fluid and lifelike. It's been a while, but this is evident in the first episode where Taiga breaks into Ryuuji's house to get back what she mistakenly put in his school bag. Just another reason to check out this anime, in addition to the earlier stated reasons (before the divergence into D.Gray-Man). Unfortunately for you, she is not here. "Ride for ruin, and the world ended!"
