Back prior to having a kid, we used to hang out in them a lot. They usually have plans where you can stay there from 8pm until the next morning, with dinner, breakfast, and drinks included for something like 1200yen.

Borrow a little room with a big tv, all the game hardware, a PC, etc - and sit in there trying out tons of games, browsing the web, reading manga, etc.

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

No, though some people treat Barnes and Noble like a manga kissa, in that they sit and read comics there.

It isn't a bookstore, and isn't a library, but more like a place where you pay to hang out and read books, surf the Internet, etc.

Some of my friends are setting up their own Manga Kissa here in The Netherlands. I think it´s going to be a manga library, so most likely their primary goal is wake people´s interest in manga.

Hai! I think so too. It's a nice initiative to let people into manga/anime.
Here anime and manga are still need to be discovered to the mass public though. This Manga Kissa is the first or second in The Netherlands.
Ofcourse there are many anime/manga fans here, but compared to countries like the United States and Japan, we don't have much facilities like manga stores in particular, but there are some anime conventions where you can buy anime, manga and posters.

They don't have Manga Kissa where you live?
Why not? It's really a shame...

Maybe I'll go out there and open one, because anime and manga is extremely popular over here. Im surprised that no-one has though to open one :S
We also dont have very many manga stores or conventions here either.
Its quite sad actually.
