as I see it, the Discrimination is base on a few things!!!

1, the concept of growing up normal, ( basically meaning, most parents, friends, average persons sees life like a real-life movie, and not like an anime...

2, getting a job,

3, having a relationship ( especially with the opposite sex,)

4, and not being a Otaku, ( how do I know, because i'm a Otaku! )

unbelievable stupidity!!!

I agree. =______=;;
Some people I know look at a manga or something someone else is reading and consider it nothing more than pretty pictures thrown together into a plot that an average preschooler came up with. Seriously...it's irritating.

ANOTHER thing that really irritates me...
Yesterday, some guy in my school that I didn't even know walked up to me and asked me to read something that was in Chinese, because he didn't know what it said.
I just stared at him, and asked him why he thought I was Chinese.
You know what his answer was?
"Well, you look like it."

I'm glad that not everyone thinks like that, but I'm still a little uneasy about how some people do.
I was a little offended when he said that, and my friend beside me, who was Vietnamese, was even more offended.
In the end, I told him what I could, anyway. .___.;;

Yes, I need to stop rambling and selecting random things to comment on.

...And in case anyone was wondering, I'm mostly Chinese. Cantonese, to be exact.

It's been like this for almost forever. People hate anything they do not understand. It's the same with goths. I even get called a goth for dressing differently than all the others, and even though I'm a bit into darkness, this does NOT make me a goth.
Same goes for anime. You tell someone "Yeah, I watch Gundam Wing," and they start freakin on you for watching cartoons with big robots. My first reaction was "OMG", and then I slapped him ^_^

And sorry for the ranting, just had to let it out.

yesturday, after our movie, kids were talking about it, and they said that the movie was cartoon. i think it's cartoon/anime. it's called: graves of the fire flyies. i think it's graves or grave. i'll have to check. but, it ticked me off. they think that it's ALWAYS cartoon! a lot of poeple laughed at the parts that weren't funny. we might be watching the rest. i'm not sure. and a lot of people think that goths like anime. i'm kinda goth (not any more. but a lot of people now think that i went back into goth cause i were black a lot) and i LOVE this stuff. i almost put lobe. i sound like zoe. zoe and a couple of my internet friends got me into naruto and stuff. i got to hurry up. my laptop is almost dead. i only got: 4% now. and i got 9 mins remaining. and i almost forgot, i do drop kick/slap some of my friends for making fun of me for like that stuff. the last time kyler said that, he got his butt kicked. and yeah, i mean his butt kicked. i just kicked him and punched him a few times, but he's ALWAYS hurting himself.

"Love is like a rose," kyler, my best friend

The only problem I guess is that Japan is becoming a stereotype.I mean,many people think that Japan is only about anime & manga,when it's much more,for sure.
