Anime discrimination - gets you feeling annoyed

I agree with the fact that many of the shows that are made "child friendly" in the states are a majour contributor to anime being discriminated against. I'm pretty lucky I have a group of 5 close freinds who all like anime(and DDR lol). I know what it feels like to be discriminated though. When i was younger I was teased for watching kid shows...Armitage sure as heck ain't no kid show.. sadly people aren't very open minded

ugh... first of all, all the shows theyve tried to watch r the crappy-way-too-girly-ones............... and second of all, u cant judge a book by its cover!!!

ive inspired sooo many ppl to watch death note and the first thing they said was "i bet this is gonna b boring" and by the next day, they r addicted to it... its not the anime thts dumb.... its the person who judged it with out trying it out who is dumb!! nooooo anime isnt boring... u ARE! xD lol
and the only thing thts lame (for me) is sponge bob square pants! (i kno is may b funny for some ppl but ther isnt any point to the show, if u ask me..) its just some idiotic sponge with another moron starfish to play with under the sea..... ok. now i think thts lame.... but anime isnt lame ppl!!! and one other thing........... some ppl r soooooooo stupid bout anime tht they think it is one damn show! they think the title of the show im watching is Anime. THTS GOT TO B STUPID XD i get pissed wen i hear someone say tht, and wts worse is tht they r my classmate! >:O

Being pissed that people make fun of anime, and then making fun of people that like Sponge Bob Squarepants doesn't really help your case.

I agree that SpongeBob is stupid.I never understood why people think that's too funny.How can anyone think that anime is childish and like SpongeBob?It's a contradiction.

Anime is a genre. There are titles for children, titles for adults, and everyone in between. Sponge Bob is Sponge Bob.

My point it that if you want to complain and act like martyrs because no one understands you and your tastes, and then want to turn around and make fun of Sponge Bob and Sponge Bob fans, then you are just as bad as those people you are complaining about.

Well I don't care if people make fun of anime so I could make fun of Spongebob if I wanted.But I actually don't,I think it's ridiculous,but I don't bother anyone that likes it with that.And maturity,dude,you won't find it anywhere.The whole world is quite immature.
