The problem is that in the western sociaty anime=cartoons=for kids only
Something like anime's wasn't even known here in the west although some of us and old enough will remember that they grew up with certain shows that where anime but didn't realize then And still if they came out it was only to people who where fans of it and then only in the US You don't want to know the trouble we had to go through to get an anime in europe Then the first anime came out through a distrubter who's unluckely was called MANGA creating the problem that after you explained what anime was they said " oh you mean manga " >_< And they also remember only the hentai's that where released along them all Anyway..its not easy to change peoples view of anime because they don't know any better What do you expect from people who have been "brainwashed" by al those disney movies and such Its nice to see that some anime get shown by tv stations although they still mutilated it so much just because they have to pass a certain age raiting ( one piece i find a good example = ( ) Anime are for me just a diffrent medium to tell a story and with the computer age and all its geting better and better, still keeping 2d art the basis of it all To bad there are those anime wannebe series who really give anime's like we know them a bad name like totaly spies or galaxy nan to ka making again people think that animation is for kids only The only thing a can say know is keeping being an otaku and turn people over to our side one by one Or try to let them see that anime are not only for the little ones |

another discrimination towards anime happened today..i gave some inuyasha episodes to my classmate..and guess what those who saw that asked eww..you are watching cartoons..it really pisses me off..it's not a cartoon..even my best friend says that anime is a cartoon and when i try to tell her that no it's definitely not a cartoon she doesn't listen to me and only laughs and says like what ever

Well kitski, you're welcome to vent your frustrations in this thread ^^
profanities aren't prohibited here, but i'd say Kudou wants us to keep it to the minimal level Uhuh.. that's exactly what im tryna convey.. those fools don't know what they're saying... It's like looking on the surface of a clamshell and thinking it's absolutely worthless. Not even considering the idea of actually trying to separate facts from opinions by actually studying the clamshell, figuring how to utilize it, and opening it up to find a priceless, marvellous huge shining pearl contained inside.. There's no such thing as happy endings, for when you find true love, happiness is everlasting.
