According the FAQ section for this site, if you want to post a vid from YouTube then you simply put the "video ID" between yt-tags.
I'm not sure, but I think the video ID is the "embed" code (shown on the right-hand side the vid) on the YouTube user page. Dunno if that helps...  One of my personal amv favs is "Shattered Dreams - Hinamori Momo's story" by Bakadeshi. The vid is a character profile of one of the minor characters in Bleach, and the music fits really well! ~annelie

It's funny to watch these AVM's without having ever watched the anime
 They're really good, especially Evangelion AMV - Nightmare. By the way, what's this kind of music called? This mechanical music...Does someone know some artists or bands?

The band for Nightmare is A Perfect Circle, which is a side project for the lead singer of Tool. I believe they both classify as industrial rock, but they fade in and out of many genres as most bands do these days.

 - wow! A really nice selection of songs. How long have you been trying out AMV's for?@Samael - Sweet Dude! I really liked the Frou Frou - RahXephon a lot. In fact I liked it so much that its now found its place among my You tube favourites!  Great going man! This sure is a nice thread!Edited: The RaXephon isn't just good, its freaking phenomenal!!!! I've been listening to nothing else for the last half hour (and probably won't listen to anything else for the next 1 hour either). Ok Guys! I finally found one that was good because it had both my favourite song and my favourite anime in it
 Found this on Youtube. It's an AMV of FFVII_AC with "Diary of Jane" from Breaking Benjamin. Hope y'all like it! lmao it's not like I made it, I just posted it here. XD Technically Koop (amv.org name) is God.
The Advent Children isn't too bad. Not a fan of the song but it's well edited, especially since it's a short movie and there isn't much source material.

This must be the funniest and undoubtedly most original AMV I've ever seen:
"Kakashi's swinging on a star" (Naruto) Animation, script, storyboard...the creator made ALL OF IT him/herself! Pretty awesome, if you ask me. EDIT: Ok, using y t - tags didn't work for some reason, hopefully the link works.
