Evangelion is kinda violent, I have heard that Elfen and Claymore and berserk are also quite violent, and no doubt gantz and the like also have some violence, and kenshin has a different breed of violence.

srysly? i've seen almost every name mentioned here and i can say that other names are almost nothing in front of this - maybe because they seem dated. but here first they show how her family is killed and her dead mother raped. then she just goes and grinds that women's face off against the wall.
+ all the eating of people by nazis

P.S only thing that maybe is worth mentioning was Gantz. i loved those stupid jokes and just fuck it attitude.
i wish there was more violent anime. i really like it.
