Why do we like anime?

I like watching all the sexy anime girls, and fantasizing I was their boyfriend.
But that's not the only reason...just the most important one.

Indeed, and for me it also does stuff normal TV and films cannot do.
But yeah, I spose it's since I don't want to grow up and anime is the best thing to watch since I grew up with it and can still watch it as an adult and not be bored by it, like if I watched Cow & Chicken now I couldn't watch it now without feeling extremely bored, even though I used to love it as a kid.

i was a kid brought up on anime. my family are total anime freaks, i guess, that's past on down to me XD.

it had this certain mature quality that you can't get with say, cartoon network cartoons. although i have to say craig mcracken with fairly odd parents/powerpuff girls/dextors lab is pretty damnm good as well. i love craig macracken style drawings XD. kawaii ne?

I like anime mainly because of the story lines in animes, you don't find story line as creative as that any where else. Anime allow the author to express their story in an extrodinary ways that other form of media such a real life movies can't not do it. I mean you can't made the actor to act exactly as what you immagine in your head, but i can just draw exactly the image that you have in your head. Further more, i think anime is where creative minds blosom cause not all the story writed by a writer will be able to made into movies or TV bacuse they are just too expensive to made but animes is the type of media that allow these story come in life because it is cheaper to produce.

I just like cartoons generally. In the west we have so many good ones such as:

Invader Zim
Angry Beavers
The Tick
The Simpsons
Family Guy

But I like all these because they're funny. Whilst many anime are funny, I like the fact that they cover so many other genres as well and most of the stuff I like turns out to be a bit creepy, thought provoking and have interesting plots as well, which you don't get in western cartoons.
