I dont really know I saw her once though and she was crying... It was wierd.. i still give her a hard time about it. Another sad themed but not really all the incredibly sad anime was Witch hunter robin.... very very good!

Grave of Fireflies and Wolf's Rain are the absolute saddest animes in the world. I read the Voices of a Distant star manga,have'nt had a chance to see the anime. I guess i have to now!!!

As for a sad anime i know fruits basket made me cry both anime and manga and when i was little i cried when i watched sailor moon. oh and fullmetal alchemist, and got teary in Fullmoon wo sagashatie. thats it i think... and bleach
