Story follows a teenaged girl named Lucy Heartfilia who aims to join the world's most notorious mage guild, Fairy Tail. During a daring rescue, Lucy encounters Natsu "Salamander" Dragneel, a quirky Fairy Tail member and a teenaged practitioner of the ancient Dragon Slayer magic. Lucy is eventually welcomed into the Fairy Tail guild as she, Natsu, and other members go on various quests together.

I should watch it soon! I have read some chapters but never tried to watch it, I'm going to try now.
I have no Friends- The cats have scratched and destroyed all of the DVDs! I always owe someone- In fact I put two os in it! I always ruin my clothes with Bleach!- The show is so dom suspensful I spill my grape soda on them! But . . .I'll live.

I just recently started reading the manga, and I definitely love it.
 You're right about the drawings style being somewhat reminiscent of One Piece, although I'm a much bigger fan of this than I am of that. (\__/) (='.'=) This is Bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your (")_(") signature to help him gain world domination

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who couldn't "fall in love with" the series. I've only watched the anime (though quite a few episodes,) but I just thought... enough with this. It's not interesting enough to waste my time on.
It's full of cliches and some of the catchphrases are becoming irritatingly cheesy. ("I'm all fired up now that-" ..... bleh.) The concept itself could be OK, but possibly do better as another (10-a-penny) Asian MMORPG, not as a continuous series. Sometimes, the story is mildly interesting, but sadly, it's also a lot of stuff you've heard before and if there's any suspense in the series, I'm having trouble finding it. I don't mean to step on any feet here, just airing my opinion. :P

Ah, it's all about personal choices and preference. He likes that, she doesn't, and so on. I think many anime shows are great, but it all depends on the preference of the viewers. I for one didn't like one piece at the beginning, but my friends do. Then it became backwards towards the end.
