Kira supporter??? No way. I hate every single one of the protagonists except L. IMO near and mello were poor replacements of L. They should have ended the story at 58th volume with Light meeting his end at L's hand but nooooooo they had to wantonly stretch it. The anime drones on after 25th episode and it sucks...period.

Y'know I'm not sure how someone can't warm up to Near. I do agree that Mello was a bit strange with his androgenous self, but Near is cute and plays with toys even if he doesn't eat....ever. Not to mention he succeded where L did not. Those of you who don't like Near because of the way he looks I feel sorry for you. Judging a book by its cover before you've had the chance to read about the wonders inside. tsk..tsk..tsk

It's been ages since I was here. I can't imagine what happened to the last chaotic discussion I started

Now I doubly corroborate what Oren said. Near is possibly the cutest person in existence (Pun so definitely intended

). I mean look at the curls, the complex toys the super cracking down on the evil folks. It's impossible to be more perfect.

Mello on the other hand.. naaah. Well ok he attempted this cool thing by biting chocolate at every turn. Didn't really work out if you ask me but atleast he attempted to crack down on Kira and for that he won my good graces

L was truly awesome, but more recently Near has grown on me more

Well I do like Near. Noones telling YOU to like him, but he rocks. He admits himself that it takes both him and Mello to equal L. I just like him cos he's so down to Earth that way, kinda still an innocent kid.
