My favorite manga would have to include Sgt. Frog (or Sgt. Keroro). It is a comedy/sci-fi series you'll enjoy if you like pop culture references (e.g. Evangelion, Mobile Suit Gundam, Space Battleship Yamato, Dragon Ball Z etc) and its sense of humor.

i love anything by ai yazawa, but i connected more to the story and characters of paradise kiss
