My puppy's name is derived from Kenshin name, my pups name is Kenshi.

rurouni kenshin or samurai x is currently on my top of the list of samurai anime films/series...not only was it entertaining and moving but semi-historical as well...

indeed, it was very sad that kenshin has to die not from battling enemies but from some form of disease (leprosy?)...though on a lighter note, he's got a son from kaori named as kenji who succeeded him...hmm, i'm wondering if they will ever made a samurai story for that boy???

Japan does not understand very well that one of its proudest cultural achievements is in film--- Akira Kurosawa

The OVA was magnificent, the anime less so though. Season two stuck close to the manga and was great, but with a season three like that, no wonder they cancelled it to be honest.

All in all very good though, at least the manga ended good.

WTF DO U MEAN!? if kenshin were all serious then it would just be another samurai anime/manga. anyway, i've never watched the anime so i don't know if it was different, i was told it sucked

I read the manga, too. And yes, Kenshin only dies in the anime. I think that's why I like more the manga version than the anime (obviously because Kenshin doesn't die ).

And I really love Rurouni Kenshin. I think it was good ^_^. But I really wanted to see more about the relationship between Kenshin and Kaoru...and how they get to marry...and all the romatic stuff...but anyway...it was good as the way it is ...by the way the OVA version made me cry ......... !!

I love the manga, and not-so-much the anime. I liked the outtakes that are released on the anime boxsets, but not so much the show. Simply because Kenshin died at the end and I was devestated. I was like... 10 years old or less ... and it was my first anime and I almost went to therapy....

The OVAs were so sad, and I loved them! -goes to watch again-
