I love anime. But I have always put yoai to the side. I don't care if anyone else watches/reads/writes/draws it...just as long as I don't have to look if I choose not to. I especially love Orochimaru from Naruto. In '06 I even went to Anime Weekend Atlanta as Orochi-sama. I even had my own Kabuto. I've passively protested Orochimaru and Kabuto pairings since my fandom began...but this morning I ran across a fanfic. It was written by a good friend of mine who begged me to read/rate the story, on the promise I would love it. It wasn't romantic or anything at first...I was pulled in and before I knew it, I was reading a yaoi.

My friend knows how I feel about yoai.

But she failed to warn me.

This mornings incident has left me feeling betrayed and hurt...by my friend and my own mind. What should I do?

I can't she's in Russia right now....although I would love to. The story was not something I could say I liked. We've been friend's ever since high school. She should know how bad it hurts me that she would do something like that, and I honestly want to keep her, as a friend as I have very few, (who haven't tried to betray me at least once). So slapping seems to be a little bit of a last resort. But thx for the advice!

Not to be unsympathetic, but i seriously doubt it's going to scar you for life. I'd keep your friend if i were you.

ok kool...besides If she 's so busy in her work that she's forgotten, I think I'll just forgive her...you know yaoi fans aren't nearly as bad as most of my friends make them out to be....all of you are nice. I've never really found any that would talk to me once they found out I didn't really care for it all that much.
