Well I support the subtitled version as well. I think it makes you a better fan because of the simple fact that there are more episodes out there in subtitles than in the english dub which automatically means you get to know more info watching the subtitling version ^_^. Also subtitling allows you to know the names of moves, characters and items as they are in Japanese as opposed to and English transalation. From what I heard from a friend of mine, Kisuke Urahara in Bleach is always called Mr.Hat and Clogs in the English Dub. I don't know if this is true coz I haven't seen the dubs but I thought it was way cooler to know the real name than the transalation ^_^

Well I pretty much agree with you there Shino-kun, but all I have to say is that it is a matter of preference. Some anime I just enjoy better in English. One example is Dragon Ball Z. I think it sucks in Japanese, but it has awesome English voices. Some animes are like that, but I think that the majority is better in Japanese. It just sounds better, and it completes the experience, since they are generally better voice actors.

it bugs me that some people think that the Japanese have 'magical' voices that when they speak it 'magically' fits the person's mouth movements on the screen.

The english voice actors try really hard to match their voices and make people happy. They try over and over until its perfect. And the Japanese do the same. My favorite voice actor ever (Crispin Freeman) prefers subtitles over dubbed :P rock on, buddy

I have been watching Scrapped Princess in subtitles, and I keep noticing that Zefires's lips keep moving when the voice stops talking. THAT is so annoying ~.~ but i've never seen it happen anywhere else. Then again, I don't watch every anime I can get my hands on. I hate poorly animated anime. Ones with low ratings, and no ones ever heard of it.

I really like some subtitles compared to the dubs. Like Love Hina. The english cast was so awful, I nearly cried. Then again, I personally think the anime itself was so awful I nearly cried READ THE MANGA!!!

So. If anyone wants to think I'm a lesser anime fan go right ahead. At least I read the manga or does someone want to tell me I'm a lesser fan because I cant read it RAW?

I dont think it makes you less of a fan. I mean why would it? Sure you can watch the anime not dubbed but if you dont pay attention you wont know what happened. I have the attention span of 4 year old. tho i have seen animes undubbed i have to rewind it n re watch it because i saw something shiny n had to mess with it. So i like to watched dubbed anime i dont care what y'all think. It's all gonna be the same in the end no matter the version. So claiming your a better anime fan just because u watch it in it's "Original form" is kinda lame. I know this might sound rude but if your claiming your a better anime fan because of this you really need a life.

There's nothing at all wrong with likeing subtitles. What I've been trying to say is thinking that you're a bigger and better anime fan because you watch subtiltes is mean, and anyone who thinks they are so much better is full of themselves. I agree with my sister (QueenNanami), if you think this way, you really do need a life. Anime is NOT everything. And the Japanese arent going to praise you when you show up in Japan eating ramen and screaming 'BAKA!' at your friends, wearing your anime get-up. They're all going to freaking laugh at you ~.~; Enjoying anime and manga is great. Believing your some kind of anime god/dess while living in your moms basement, dreaming of living in Japan? Lame. End of story.

I really pefer the subitiles more because I like watching anime in the original japanese version. I really dislike the dubbed version but there is a few anime I watch in the english, like pokemon because it's kinda hard to find the japanese version.
