(hey I brought this thread back to life...kind-of)
>FMA, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo...how can you put them side by side? They are all extremely great animes for their own specific reasons, so you can't really compare them in the category of greatness, really...because they're each great because they are themselves...lol does that even make any sense? it does to me

Lol, at first I thought it was about a cowboy w/ a gun in "the future" (btw just noticed this: cowboy is such a stupid word... cow boy boy cow boycow cowboy...lol it's stupid!!)
No, but really it is about a guy called Spike...um and yeah...anytime someone wants to join in this horrible explanation it's fine with me...and um Spike...he does stuff...cool stuff...ahem...and yeah

Spike and the rest of the crew are Bounty Hunters/Mercenaries, that's how they make a living, chasing wanted bad guys in a future scenery with a taste from the past. Like Spike, all the characters that form his crew have their unique personality and sometimes with a bit of mystery surrounding their past.

I've been wanting to see the series, but haven't got to it yet, just saw the movie, Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' On Heaven's Door (wich gives an overral idea of what you should expect from the series).

i haven't watched cowboy bebop because i hate the style it's done in and the title...but then, i hated samurai champloo's style and title very much up until i actualy started watching it...maybe i should give bebop a chance too?

definatly!

the stles works better with cowboy bebop; and the title make more sence with the rest of the anime.

i think the story and characters are better developed in Bebop too

this site
has a good synopsis of the series and the film, and a pretty good stills gallery.
one thing i must say is that, like samurai champloo the english dubs are a good quality, so it doesnt matter what language you watch it in (Japanese / english)

yays for the bebop! *hums closing song; ~...Aishiteta to nageku ni wa
Amari ni mo toki wa sugi te shimatta...~*

kewl. i'll watch it then.
i love it when the storyline and characters are well developed. i think they could have done that a little more with samurai champloo.

i must say though, i thought the english dub of samurai champloo was one of the worst ever! but then, i think that about ever english dub i see...
