The first volume came out at the end of July. The second one comes out at the end of October.

No, not exactly. The story is set pretty much in reality, except a few people have this condition.

She isn't dying, but disappearing...

It's a very original idea...

Yes, parts of her disappear, on a monthly cycle...at its peak her entire body disappears.

It is pretty funny. Does your library get Dark Horse titles? This is their first shojo manga title.
