It depends...

For me there's 2 different types of long series, and I classify them as such:

There's the "InuYasha" long series. This is the one in which there are a lot of fillers and nothing much gets done, and at the end of the series you kind of wonder why you've watched 100+ episodes of this.

Then there are series like Bleach or Dragonball, which aren't as bad to muddle through.

I find that most series under 50 episodes are usually quite good, and I usually like a manga no matter how long it is. Money isn't a problem when it comes to manga for there is the library network! -ish a dork-

Anyway, for the most part I prefer shorter series; less chance of filler.

One of my favorite mangas that was serialized in "Shojo Beat" is "The Yume Kira Dream Shoppe", and that was only one normally sized volume long...

I prefer short series, because I'm less likely to lose interest if It's only a few episodes long...I especially don't like it when stories have long, drawn out battles like in DBZ(although, I did watch this whole series..).
I guess I'm impatient when it comes to anime. Which is why I usually watch those with 13 or less episodes.

..The strange part is that I still get sad when they end...

Never really thought about it.. but I guess I could go for either. It just depends on how good or solid the series is.

It depends if it is good or not. Like Bleach.. I love Bleach. Hope it's never going to end

I've been watching alot of jdrama the last two weeks.
Hana Kimi (japanese v.)
1 litre of tears < - Eyerbody should watch it. I normally don't cry when I watch movies etc. but when I watched that one I cryed the whole time It's such a sad story.

^ sorry. Kinda off-topic.

it depends. if the series has good storyarcs that have an end, I prefer a long series.
stuff like inuyasha, where they're still doing the same thing for all eternity, I don't like.

Im not really used to short series, but I don't dislike them.

thnx boboloko for the sig!

I love long series. I get sad when they end. Its like the characters have become a part of your life lol Then you have to say goodbye
I hope things like Naruto don't end cos that'll suck.
I wish things like Rurouni Kenshin were on-going. Even DB-DBZ, loved it all

Short series are easily watchable but I don't prefer one over the other.
