It evolved in Japan just because people are so damn SAME in Japan. We have myths about redheads being aggressive, blondes sexy, etc.... well, in Japan everyone has black hair, everyone has brown eyes. So they needed something else to feed this strange human desire to categorize people's personalities by physical characteristics. So they hit on blood type.

I love telling people in Japan that I don't know my blood type. I do, but this way is more fun. They blink and look at me as if I'd just told them I wasn't sure whether I was male or female.
Red-heads aggressive? Blondes acting sexy? I don't know, I'm not one for stereotyping, but I find a common correlation there with an r-squared value of .90 XD (that mean's good correlation) Of course, this is all within my personal experience. I blame California.

Blood type - 06-01-2009, 02:39 PM

Over half of Japanese people believe that one's personality can be conjectured by his/her blood type even though they know there is no scientific proof.

A:good with details
B:Rough
O:Keep his pace
AB:Artistic

I know some Japanese companies where human relation section consider the blood types of the employee to organize the comapny. They believe Blood type 'O' can lead a group suitably and type 'A' can work without complaining.

And the matter of course, most of Japanese are type 'A'.

How do you think? do you believe in Blood type?

Most certainly.

We had two Japanese girls in our office in Nara, I believe they must have been B as they were very rough on the edges and ended up getting fired for constant rudeness to the Bucho.

In England we aren't told our blood type, for some strange reason, but I'm thinking that I'd be an O, really. But ofcourse, it's not certain.

Although, if I believe in it is a different matter.

That's not a bold statement at all.

no i don't think so..
The body would reject it and you'll die .. (I think)
I mean it's the same with organtransplants.. even if they are the same bloodtype there's still 50´% that it will be rejected
